A Message From Coach Dwayne Williams

“I have designed basketball camps and clinics for boys and girls aged 5–18 in the following areas: Katy, Richmond, Houston, Sugarland, and surrounding areas in Texas. The purpose is to provide players with specific skill training to develop their overall game. For beginning, intermediate, or advanced players who wish to improve their level of play, they will be grouped according to age and skill level.

After evaluating and scouting many youth leagues, Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) tournaments, junior high games, and high school games, I've come to the conclusion that many of these players are lacking fundamental skills, mental toughness, and decision-making awareness on the court.

Our camps, trainings, and private training sessions will definitely help prepare players to gain confidence while playing on their respective teams.

  • All our coaches will ‘teach’ and possess the ability to communicate with players effectively.
  • We will maintain an environment that is positive and encouraging.
  • We will have a ratio of one coach for every 10 players. This allows proper attention for players to learn perfect techniques. Our camps and clinics specialize in ‘skills-based’ learning. Our focus is to develop a player's skills through drill repetition.
  • We hold three-on-three, four-on-four, and five-on-five scrimmages to practice game-like situations.
  • We will train players to be leaders on and off the court through our motivational training program.
  • Many players are visual learners, so we've included video sessions as a part of each clinic. They feature detailed explanations of specific drills, animated diagrams, and live video clips.

We look forward to giving your child a wonderful experience at All American Basketball Camp.”

About Us

Under the direction of Coach Dwayne K. Williams, along with a premier coaching staff, All American Basketball Camp welcomes boys and girls aged 5–18 to camps, clinics, and group and private training sessions. These are filled with essential learning of the game of basketball. These camps and clinics put emphasis on the fundamentals of the game and are hosted in a competitive atmosphere, where campers benefit from a wealth of experienced instructors.

All our hardworking coaches complete the nucleus of the camp's instructional methods. They give participants first-hand insight and training on what it takes to improve and develop on and off the court.

We take pride in building each camper’s self-esteem and bringing out the best in them (both mentally and physically). We encourage kids daily to be motivated and understand that what they learn in the camps and clinics can carry them throughout their journey in life.

Biography

Coach Williams has more than 15 years of basketball experience as a college counselor, collegiate and professional player, high school coach, and YMCA volunteer coach and clinician. He is the owner/director of All-American Basketball Camp.

His story is unique because he never played any organized basketball ever. He grew up playing at the neighborhood parks and playgrounds with high hopes of playing collegiate basketball someday.

His life changed after graduating from high school. Coach Williams attended a Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ camp. There, he met Paul McGrady, who was an assistant basketball coach at Southern Nazarene University at the time. He offered a tryout to Coach Williams.

Needless to say, the rest was truly history in the making. After countless of hours in the gym perfecting his game, Coach Williams became a standout player on the 1996 Southern Nazarene University men's basketball team.

His determination and work ethic allowed him to receive several top honors, including both First Team All-Conference Player and Player of the Year in the Sooner Atlantic Conference (SAC). Most notably, he became the first player in the school's history to achieve the highest honor, being named Division 1 NAIA First Team All-American.

During his senior year, Coach Williams led his team and scored an average of 21.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game (SAC). He also broke the single game scoring record by scoring 44 points against Wayland Baptist University. His record has not been broken to this date.  Last, he accomplished being in the "Top 10" in scoring with over 1,400 points scored.

After a great collegiate career, he played professionally in the United States Basketball League (USBL), Independent Basketball Association (IBA), and in Mexico; was offered opportunities to play Philippines, Venezuela, Germany, Italy, & Greece.

Mission Statement

At All American Basketball Camp, our mission is to help campers become the best, fundamentally sound basketball players that they can be through our quality instruction. We also want our players to develop into great leaders on and off the court.

Testimonials

“All American Basketball Camp has truly been a life changing contribution to our two boys. My husband and I have noticed a positive change in their skill level of basketball and most importantly we've noticed a change in their attitudes. We are so grateful to Coach Williams for showing genuine interest in how our boys develop on and off the court. In this day and age, it’s a blessing to find an organization you can trust with your children. All American Basketball Camp was recommended to me by a friend, and now I know why – the quality of dedication and commitment to kids is outstanding. Keep up the great work!
